The staff at this facility has been nothing short of amazing. Every time I have come into this office I am welcomed, I have never had to wait longer than a few minutes to get called back into the room. Firstly I don’t think I will be able to describe enough about how amazing my first facial experience was. Tiffany did Geneo Facial and it absolutely amazing! The room set up was so relaxing w music playing on the background. The heated bed was great. She was so knowledgeable and good at what she was doing. All the mask and massages was a whole different experience. I have never knew how much my face and skin needed it. It feels like my skin can finally breathe. My skin is absolutely glowing. How many treatments are recommended for optimal results?
Usually, patients need 3 – 6 sessions to achieve their best results. However, how many treatments you require will depend on the condition of your skin and your goals. Microneedling can be performed every 4 – 6 weeks as needed. During your initial consultation, Dr. Gebhart can estimate how many treatments you might need after assessing your skin and listening to your goals. When your skin goals are reached, Dr. Gebhart recommends getting maintenance treatments about twice a year.
Is microneedling safe for everyone?
On the whole, microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones. Skin injuries created by microneedling are so minor that there are rarely side effects afterward. Microneedling can be performed on most areas of skin, including the face, arms, neck, chest, and legs. Microneedling is not recommended if you have taken Accutane recently or have an open wound, active skin infection, or herpes simplex. Additionally, you may not be able to get microneedling if you are nursing, pregnant, or undergoing radiation treatments.
Is there any downtime after microneedling?
There is minimal downtime. Patients may experience redness and mild swelling for a day or two, but these effects usually subside quickly. Additionally, avoiding direct sunlight and using broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect the treated skin is advisable.
